On June 20, 2019, the Schulman Group's annual Gala took place in the presence of guest artist Gregory Charles. Touched by the cause of families living with an autistic person, you took this opportunity to raise awareness about the Emergo Foundation, which provides respite for these families.

The Emergo Foundation contributes to reducing the cost of a respite by a third, the balance being equally shared by government grants and the family. More than 80% of our participants have various associated disorders (aggressivity, self-harm, obsessive-compulsive disorder, anxiety, sleep disorder, etc.), and therefore require a ratio of one companion per participant, leading to important operational costs. Thus, for each $ 1,500, the Foundation allows a family to obtain a summer respite of 9 nights or support 4 families for a 2 nights school respite.

The impact is great! While the autistic participants live a stimulating camp experience, more than 3 to 4 people (parents, brothers and sisters) can directly benefit from a respite and recharge their batteries.

Your guests have responded positively to your wish to support our cause and each donation collected has been matched by the President of the Foundation, Jacques Chartrand. Together we raised a net amount of $ 4,713. Thank you!
